For Our Youngest Readers – October 2026

For 23 years, children have been some of the Good News Library’s most faithful visitors. With school back in full swing, we’re putting the spotlight on a few new additions chosen especially for our younger readers.

Hope in the Ashes by Marianne Hering & Marshal Younger – The newest Imagination Station adventure, book #36, sends cousins Patrick and Beth to Chicago during the Great Fire of 1871. As the city burns around them, they discover ordinary people showing extraordinary courage—and learn what it means to become the people God made them to be.

Rewritten by Adventures in Odyssey – Books aren’t the only adventures waiting at the Library! Rewritten, Album 80 from Adventures in Odyssey, features six audio stories and more than two hours of entertainment exploring choices, wisdom, truth, and God’s faithfulness.

The Dead Sea Squirrels series by Mike Nawrocki – What happens when a 10-year-old boy discovers two squirrels preserved in Dead Sea salt for 2,000 years—and brings them home? Merle and Pearl come alive, bringing plenty of laughs and some firsthand wisdom from Bible times. Written by VeggieTales co-creator Mike Nawrocki, this series combines hilarious adventures with lessons about obedience, kindness, honesty, self-control, and more. Books 1–12 are brand-new to the Good News Library!

These are just a few of the family-friendly choices waiting for your kids at the Good News Library. With Share-A-Thon just around the corner, remember that Founder’s Club members and Day Sponsors receive a complimentary one-year Library membership with their giving. We’re excited to welcome this year’s new members—so bring the kids, stop in, and discover what’s waiting on the shelves!
