“If you ever feel like you are alone in this world, you need to listen to this station.” -DS
At WRGN, our tagline is Your Good News Network, and the reality is, the good news that we share daily is not just good news, it’s the BEST NEWS EVER! It provides freedom, abundant life, restoration, grace, mercy, and forgiveness— and it’s eternal and unfading! 1 Peter 1:24-25 contrasts it with the familiar fading of the vibrant green leaves that are here for only a few short months before falling to the ground—like they are right now during this beautiful autumn season here in NEPA: “‘The grass withers and the flower fades. But the word of the Lord remains forever.’ And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.”
On WRGN, we share this good news through teaching, music, events, and more! We broadcast teaching from speakers like Crawford Loritts, Chip Ingram, Tony Evans, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, and David Jeremiah—teaching that builds up your faith and equips you. We collaborate with local youth pastors to produce helpful content to help you on your parenting journey. We partner with local ministries and organizations to bring you great concerts and events, as well as serve our local communities. We laugh and encourage you on your morning drive. We play songs that remind you of the good news of the gospel, with lyrics like:
- You plead my cause, You right my wrongs, You break my chains, You overcome. -Lauren Daigle, How Can It Be
- Your grace is enough. -Matt Maher, Your Grace Is Enough
- God’s not done with you, even with your broken heart and your wounds and your scars. -Tauren Wells, God’s Not Done
- When I’m broken and undone, Your mercy’s just begun… and I will fear no more. -Building429, Fear No More
- But God, rich in mercy–You came to save me. Now I’m alive! -Big Daddy Weave, Alive
Yes, this truly is the BEST NEWS EVER.
We don’t know about you, but we need the reminders of these truths each and every day. In an era with bad news bombarding us daily, it’s important to keep truth and encouragement in front of ourselves to fight discouragement and counter negative influences. WRGN strives to do just that. In your car, on your smartphone, while you’re making dinner, on your morning commute, when you can’t sleep at night—it doesn’t matter the time or setting, we’re here for you.
We’d love it if you would partner with us! This year we need to raise $180,000 to support the upcoming year of ministry. You might hear other stations raising funds quarterly, or even monthly, but we set aside just one time per year for this.
We recently heard from a listener who shared, “Thank you for helping me when I’ve needed words of encouragement and hope through difficult times in my life. There’s nothing better than a daily dose of WRGN!” Thank you for being part of how WRGN is making an impact!
