One of the joys of visiting the Good News Library is the discovery waiting around every shelf. Each visit offers the chance to find a book that encourages, challenges, or simply brings delight. Here are a few recent additions you might enjoy:

Fire Mountain and Raging Waters by Dana Mentink

These first two books in Dana Mentink’s Elements of Danger series deliver fast-paced suspense set against the dramatic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. In Fire Mountain, a truck driver awakens after a crash with no memory while danger closes in from a threatening volcano. In Raging Waters, a true-crime podcaster and a wilderness instructor must work together to survive both a powerful criminal and a deadly flood.

God Loves Kids: A Gospel-Centered Book About Foster Care by Jamie C. Finn

This beautifully illustrated children’s book gently helps families talk about foster care from a biblical perspective. Beginning with God’s loving design for families, the story. compassionately explains why some children need foster care and how foster families step in to help. It offers a thoughtful, gospel-centered way to help children understand foster care and trust God’s good plan for every story.

The Royal Artisan by Tessa Afshar
