From Us To You

February 23, 2022

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars…” (Matthew 24:6a). Does it feel to you like this first is happening right before our eyes? If so, would you believe me if I told you that’s a good thing? Let’s finish out the verse: “…see that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.” These words of Jesus are first comforting, and then instructive to us. He goes on to list things (many of which we see going around us right now!) that tell us that they are just the beginning of the end times. All of these trials are paving the way for the return of our Savior.

Sometimes we get so lost in the first part of this passage that we miss out on the true message of the rest of the passage. Again the words of Christ: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come,” (Matthew 24:14). I see the reverse of verse 6 here–this verse is first instructive, and then comforting! It’s instructive in that it is giving us a calling to proclaim the gospel through the whole world. It’s comforting in that as we do this, we will be closer to seeing our Savior face to face!

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? . . . As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” -Romans 10:14-15

For 38 years, WRGN has been proclaiming the Good News of the gospel over the airwaves here in northeastern Pennsylvania, and now thanks to the internet, it is available around the world. We join hundreds of other Christian radio stations across this country in doing so.

You are a part of this with your support of WRGN, and for that we are thankful.

Proclaiming the gospel,
