Books About Books – May 2026
May is an exciting time at the Good News Library as we prepare for our annual Spring Book Sale, May 13–16 at the WRGN studios. It’s a great opportunity to browse a wide selection of books at bargain prices and stock up on summer reading. With something for everyone—from Christian fiction and nonfiction to cookbooks, biographies, kid’s books, and more—it’s also a meaningful way to support this important ministry in our community!
Here are a few new titles added to the library that celebrate a love for books, stories, and the places that hold them:
Manhattan Confessions by Jocelyn Green
Set in 1920s New York, this historical novel follows Ivy Malone, a librarian at the New York Historical Society who is entrusted with a powerful secret tied to a wealthy woman’s past. As questions mount and danger closes in, Ivy must navigate deception and her own search for truth while protecting those she loves.
The Bookshop of 99 Doors by Jaime Jo Wright
This dual-time suspense unfolds in a Pennsylvania mansion filled with mystery—and books. In both 1888 and the present day, two women are drawn into the secrets of a house rumored to hold a hidden door. As past and present intertwine, the search for truth leads through fear, loss, and the unknown.
All Booked Up by Melody Carlson
This heartwarming story centers on Riva Owen, a widow determined to hold on to her beloved home and personal library. When she opens her house to renters, she discovers unexpected friendship and the hope of new beginnings, proving that sometimes the next chapter is better than the last.
We hope you’ll join us for the Spring Book Sale at the Good News Library and discover a few great reads to take home. The sale is open Wednesday–Friday, 9 am–6 pm, and Saturday, 9 am–12 pm. If you’ve never visited the library, these extended hours are a great time for your first visit!
