Two Fun Events Scheduled

On August 30, it was “National Marshmallow Day,” and that became the topic on “Shirl and You” airing weekdays at 10:00 a. m. However it did not end on that day as listeners decided the staff should sample some rather uniquely flavored marshmallows. Ellen Belles, Dallas, blew her car horn outside the studios and presented Jonathan Broscious with a bag of caramel and vanilla ones.

And there’s more! Three days later, a box arrivedand inside was a big bag of oversized marshmallows, (bigger than we’ve ever seen), strawberry and vanilla flavored. The packagecame from Cathy Hawk, of Perryville. She wrote: “This is mythanks to you for the impact your ministry has daily on my life. I listen to WRGN all the time. Thanks forallowing me to hear godly input all day and all night.” In regard to the marshmallows she said maybe they are mini-marshmallows that were given steroids. Shirley Updyke, host of “Shirl and You” said, “I’ve been telling listeners they really make ‘Shirl and You.’ and it’s true.”
