From Us To You (March 2010)

Dear Ones It’s time to talk about a WRGN event that has been held for years and always generates a good turn out. It’s WRGN’s Skate and it was recently held on President’s Day when weather reports were for snow and bad road conditions. Regardless, well over 200 attended and the weather did hold out after all.

We want to thank Heather and Tim Madeira who has headed up many of the skates. Tim presented a devotional based on the Winter Olympics. It was accompanied with fantastic skating tricks. The Lord God is honored at these family events and many attending believe it is a wonderful example of how Christians conduct themselves while having a good time. Many families bring along neighbors and friends knowing the skate can be a good witness to what God means to them. The event’s DJ’s, Tim Madeira and Jonathan Broscious played music that’s heard on WRGN. “No one is ever in danger of hearing anything offensive,” said Jonathan.

Admission and skate rental charges are always kept low so that entire families can come and enjoy themselves without breaking the family budget. As a result, moms, dads, brothers and sisters were all on the floor, smiling and rolling away. Some were fast, others were tottering slowly. But all were having fun.

Make sure your ears are peeled to WRGN for details about the next skate, coming up on Columbus Day in October, Jonathan took photos at this year’s event. Check out the center-spread in this Radiogram.

As you read this edition, you can’t help but be encouraged and impressed with how God is using listeners to help make WRGN possible and this includes area pastors and churches who are standing with us in meeting operating costs. We must remind you of another outreach always in progress here, “The Good News Library.” It is a dynamic ministry, constantly growing and changing. It’s here for you!

Thanks for your faithful support and for your prayers.
